• Intent Tents started in South Africa over ten years ago.

• They are a pioneering new stretch fabric developed in South Africa.
• Originally developed in part for the South African film industry and at outdoor dance music festivals they are now used in many applications from Cape Town hotels to Vineyards.
• The stretchable flowing fabric allows the Intent pole to rise into a graceful peak and the poles can be placed in many positions to suit.
• As tensile tents they rely on the tensile force of the material created by the stretch between the poles pushing up the fabric and its anchors in the ground or walls.
• To create the correct tension in different locations can demand different pole and anchor configurations. This creates freeform tent shapes unique to that event.
• The freeform shape of the Intent tent can look different with various options of pole positioning, extremely useful when working around garden's trees and shrubs.
• By the nature of their construction,without linings, Intent tents are suited to the summer time in the UK. They allow much of the outdoor to be seen from within the tent. One client who was a keen gardener picked the weekend of the year that had the most flowers in bloom. Intents suited her requirements perfectly.
• Intents can be pitched all year round. We can provide stretch side panels, closed doorways and heating.
• Intent Tents can be made to act like a canopy with no sides.
• Intent Tents can have side panels added. These are made from the same strectable material.
• The fabric flows in smooth undulations and does not require additional dressing to create impact. Poles can be dressed to add other colour.
